John operates Tuckamore Acres with his partner Lauren and his two children at the foot of the North Mountain near Woodville, Kings County. Founded in 2016, they raise grass-fed Highland cattle and operate a farrow-to-finish free-range pastured Heritage piggery. They sell direct to consumers, at farmers markets and also in retail stores. I was born and raised in the Niagara Region of Ontario. I attended the University of Western Ontario and Brock University where I graduated with Bachelors in Political Science and Labour Relations. As part of a very tight knit family in Ontario upon graduating I worked at a family real estate business until I decided I wanted to travel across Canada with my boyfriend (now husband). Together we traveled to Nova Scotia where he had family, and we quickly decided to make the Annapolis Valley our home.
